Local Knowledge in the Study of River Fish Biology Experiences from the Mekong

The study highlights the critical nature of habitat and flood patterns to the propensity of fish species to migrate, spawn and find dry-season refuges, which could affect fish stocks that are crucial to the health, nutrition and livelihoods of some of the poorest people in the lower Mekong countries.
